The Key in my Hand

Please click on photo to see larger size

I liked the font so much even though it's not easy to read.... here the text of the poem:

In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn,
the door is there and the key is in your hand.
Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

Yes, and what if I have so many keys in my hands, and so many doors in front of me???? :-)

Chopin

Please click on photo to see larger size

Very funny sometimes - I had planned to take photos of my olf Chopin book to make some compositions.... and today we got offered the 'Vintage' deal from DesignCuts that contained quite a few textures that I was able to use here...

Chopin and Nepal, the two topics that have accompanied my life longer than any others, I think. And so I got this absolutely beautiful huge book about Chopin, the book is from 1965, but the photos in there are much older.... it's written in polish (which I can't read), but the photos are so absolutely beautiful that I feel it's a waste to have them locked away in a book.....

In the Company of River and Mountains

It seems as if I was living in a dream while being awake.... like a second life in parallel to the one I officially live/ There is such hugeness, endlessness, light and light and light. My two companions are always there too. There is no dream without them any more, not during the day and not during the night.

They find it easier to communicate...

Lost in Heaven

Please click on photo to see larger size

It is so amazing how our beautiful pets can just drop and ponder, nap, sleep, be busy with themselves.
They know, heaven is everywhere. Heaven is where you make it.

I am learning this too.....

Mystery

Please click on photo to see larger version (much better :-)

I was contemplating the curiosity, excitement and innocence that I can watch in our pets as well as in little children.... wondering where that goes when we are getting older.

Everything seems to be magic, amazing   ... and then we're starting to 'know' things... we're starting to 'understand'.... and slowly the mystery disappears out of life.

Mystery is feeling the intensity of being alive - I can't remember who said that, but it feels true.

If I take nothing for granted, everything becomes magic...

Thank you to J. and her parents for allowing me to add her beauty and curiosity to this composition. :-)

Fairy-Diary

Please click on photo to see larger version

This was inspired by Photo Art workshop challenge 14 - a memory/diary entry... insight in the secret life of a child.

I don't think I have any memories like that, but while I was creating the composition, it was as if these memories came up.... very strange... something tickled my back, as if a spider was crawling all over me.

My World

Please click on photo to see larger size

I wish I was as proud and self confident as those cats are. So easy to see that they only expect the best - well, they don't even have an expectation that there could be anything less than the best.
They most certainly own this universe, and the next one as well :-)

Fun to watch.... and so much to learn ...

Contemplation

Please click on photo to see larger version

Pretty much every morning my cat, Kiril RussianBlue von Haxtendorf asks me for a walk through our garden, riding on my shoulder. His brother, Spirit, accompanies us for a while, walking besides me, just a bit behind.

If I walk too fast, he jumps off. If my thoughts stay in the office, he jumps off.
He requires me to be in the moment. To feel his weight, to hear his purr, to understand where he wants me to go to and where to stop to check something in details. He is very interested in leaves that are high up, in birds that are out of his reach, in the smell of certain flowers... not sure what else. He sees colours that are hidden to me, smells smells that I can't pick up.
He has such a lot of interest and is always in the moment, takes it all in.

Such a good role model, I very much enjoy my morning tea time with him.

The composition above was triggered by Challenge 19 of the Photo Art workshop (http://photoshopgrunge.com), and reminded me so much of our walks.

The leaf in the grass was very well analysed by both cats, several birds and myself. It was very clear that it did not plan to go anywhere, it had found its home.

Nature intended perfection.

Vacivity

Please click on photo to see full size

(Vacivity = Emptiness - phrontistery.info/clw4.html, has been used in the late 1600s)

This was inspired by Challenge 18 of the photo-art workshop (http://photoshopgrunge.com) - but also by my inner need for space, emptiness and freedom.

More and more I feel restrictions of rooms, of my own reach, of boundaries, borders.... life seems to have more restrictions than openness.... more boxes than spaces.

The ocean, the moon --- ah, there is infinity... emptiness....
